Everyone has come across this advice of taking enough water per day to boost your health and keep your skin fresh. Wen thinking of taking healthy drinks, water comes first to everyone’s mind. Many of us are not aware of many other healthy drinks out there that are important in our menu. These drinks have extra benefits. They can help relieve minor ailments, boost your ingestion and protect you from osteoporosis.

Note that not everything is healthy to drink. Some drinks can add unnecessary artificial ingredients, calories, and sugar to your diet. Let’s find out the best and the worst drinks.

Best drinks to add to your menu

Green tea

I think so far you have heard about the hype of adding green tea to your menu. It is a legit idea proven by health researchers. Milk

Milk is very healthy if it is one percent fat reduced. It has components such as protein, carbohydrates, and some small amount of fat that is healthy. Milk also helps in sugar stabilization, and it is a source of calcium since it is rich in vitamin D. Vitamin D plays a role in calcium absorption. Milk can help your body to store less fats because the calcium burns it instead of holding it.

Soy Milk

This milk is rich in soy protein and soluble fiber that lowers cholesterol levels preventing cardiovascular disease. Make sure the soy milk you are buying is rich in vitamins A&D and calcium. It’s good to consult a doctor before taking this milk since it contains phytoestrogens that are associated with the risk of breast cancer.

This tea drink is antispasmodic meaning it can help in relaxing your muscles. It also helps in digestion by boosting the movement of food in the digestive system.

Chocolate

If you want to regulate your mood, include hot chocolate in your diet. It boosts the serotonin in your body that helps to reduce depression. Consuming a lot of it can lower good cholesterol levels. You should avoid processed chocolate.

Worst drinks to exclude from your diet

There are many drinks you should avoid especially if they are processed. Juice cocktails and juice drinks have colored sugar and are not healthy.

Fancy coffee drinks contain a large amount of calories and they are not healthy at all. They also taste so sweet because they contain a high amount of sugar.

Flavored sports drinks and waters have additional components that are not healthy for you. When buying bottled water please check if it has unhealthy components added.

Regular sodas are other drinks with empty calories and with a high amount of sugar. Note diet sodas have no nutrition value.

Frozen cocktails are rich in calories and you should find healthy cocktails instead.

Avoid fruit smoothies since they are also rich in calories.
